Palabuhanratu, August 12, 2025 — The Class III Port Management Unit (UPP) of Palabuhanratu has expressed its commitment to becoming an official partner of the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark Management Agency (BP CPUGGp) in supporting the development of marine tourism in the Palabuhanratu area and its surroundings.
As part of this collaboration, the UPP Palabuhanratu is ready to facilitate the entire licensing process for tourist vessels to be used for marine tourism activities, including plans for the future development of a new tourist fleet.
The Head of the UPP Palabuhanratu emphasized that this synergy is expected to strengthen marine tourism potential, improve tourist comfort and safety, and simultaneously encourage regional economic growth through the sustainable tourism sector.
"We are committed to fully supporting the BP CPUGGp program, particularly in facilitating access to tourist vessel permits. This is a concrete step towards making Palabuhanratu a world-class marine tourism destination," said Dr. Capt. Sugeng Priyatno, M.M.Tr., M.Mar.), Head of the Palabuhanratu Technical Implementation Unit (UPP).
This collaboration also aligns with the management vision of the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark as a tourist destination that prioritizes nature conservation, cultural preservation, and local community empowerment.
